Find & Buy Your Firearm Online
Purchase the new or used firearm from the online retailer, auction seller or firearms dealer you choose. Before shipment, identify Ikkin Arms as your receiving FFL.
Found the firearm you want from an online retailer, auction site or out-of-state dealer? Choose Ikkin Arms as your receiving FFL. We receive the shipment at our Rochester location and complete the required in-person transfer before the firearm can be released to you.

Most of our dealer transfers begin with a customer finding a firearm online. The seller ships the firearm to a licensed receiving dealer—not directly to the buyer—and the transfer is completed in person after the firearm arrives.

Purchase the new or used firearm from the online retailer, auction seller or firearms dealer you choose. Before shipment, identify Ikkin Arms as your receiving FFL.

Send a copy of your sales order to chris@ikkin.net. Include your name, address, phone number, seller/dealer contact information and tracking information when available.

The selling dealer may need a copy of our Federal Firearms License before shipping. Ikkin Arms can coordinate the receiving-dealer information needed for your order.

After your firearm arrives and is ready, we contact you. You then complete the required identification, paperwork, background-check process and any applicable New York requirements before lawful release.
If the online seller asks you to select a local FFL dealer, choose Ikkin Arms. If Ikkin Arms is not already listed in the seller's dealer directory, call us and we can explain what the seller needs.
A quick call can prevent missing order information and unnecessary delays.

Buying online gives you access to inventory from retailers and dealers beyond Rochester, but the firearm transfer still has to be completed through the appropriate licensed dealer process. Ikkin Arms serves as the local receiving dealer for customers who have firearms shipped into Rochester and Western New York.
Federal guidance requires a licensee transferring a firearm to a non-licensee to follow the applicable transfer and recordkeeping requirements. New York also has state-specific firearm licensing and background-check requirements that can affect a transaction. We handle the dealer side of the transfer and will tell you what is needed for your particular pickup.
If you provide us with your email address, Ikkin Arms can send the purchase documentation used for your newly purchased handgun so you can work with your county licensing office on the applicable permit/amendment process. Procedures can vary, so contact us to confirm the current steps for your county and transaction.
Not every firearm offered by an online seller can necessarily be transferred to every New York buyer. New York has additional requirements for certain firearms, including licensing requirements affecting semi-automatic rifles. If you are unsure whether a particular online purchase can be transferred to you, call Ikkin Arms before ordering or shipping it.

Call Ikkin Arms before the seller ships it, then email your sales order to chris@ikkin.net. We will help coordinate the receiving-dealer portion of the transaction.
