Cerakote is ideal when the coating itself is the finish. Hydrographics is different: it is about printed detail, depth and pattern. Because the ink layer conforms through water transfer, a graphic can wrap around curves, recesses and complex shapes that are difficult to decorate with flat graphics.
Carbon fiber, camouflage, wood, stone, skulls, flames, animal prints, abstract graphics and specialty designs can become part of the finished surface.
The transfer follows the contours of properly prepared parts, allowing the printed design to flow over shapes rather than sit on top like a sticker.
After transfer and rinse, the design is sealed beneath a protective clear system. Gloss level and final appearance can be discussed for the project.
The finished appearance depends on preparation, the base color beneath the film, film orientation, activation, immersion and clear coat. Those choices are why the same film can look dramatically different from one project to another.
These are IKKIN hydrographic projects—not generic Cerakote examples. The full finished-project gallery will become the visual centerpiece for both Hydrographics and Cerakote as we organize the project photography.

Hydrographics can be applied to many properly prepared hard surfaces, including compatible plastics and metals. Suitability is determined by the actual item, material, condition and how it will be used.
Interior trim, bezels, covers and compatible removable components can be transformed with carbon, wood, graphics and specialty films.
Compatible equipment and components can take on camouflage, carbon and high-impact graphic patterns.
Helmets, housings, panels, handles and other suitable parts can be evaluated from photos before you bring or ship the project.
Our hydrographics tanks have a 56" × 35" dipping area, allowing us to handle many large and unusually shaped parts. The practical size of a specific project also depends on its depth, shape, orientation and the working clearance needed during the dip.
That gives us room for many automotive and motorcycle components, sporting equipment, archery parts, panels and other custom hard goods.
Send us the part dimensions and a few clear photos. We can evaluate the actual shape before you bring or ship the project.
Start a quote and include the length, width, depth and photos. We will confirm whether the part is a practical fit for our equipment.
